Location and surroundings

Hotel am Campus’ location to the south of Ingolstadt is ideal and has excellent transport connections. Companies such as Audi and Airbus, major sporting events and shopping opportunities such as the Ingolstadt Village Outlet Centre are quick and easy to reach.

It is only about 800 metres to FC Ingolstadt’s stadium so if you are a football fan you can walk to the ground in around five minutes. Put simply this means: no stress searching for parking spaces at the stadium and no crowded buses - it couldn't be better.

From Hotel am Campus you can reach the A9 motorway (at the Ingolstadt Süd junction) in two minutes by car. It is only four kilometres to Ingolstadt Central station and the city centre with its many historic sights. Those coming to the city for shopping can be at the Ingolstadt Village Outlet Centre in ten minutes. Close to the hotel you will also find shopping facilities, including a REWE supermarket and a Media Markt electrical goods store as well as restaurants for a cosy or fine dining experience.

In 20 minutes, you are at Audi AG and the famous Audi Forum. Other big companies are not far away either. The headquarters of Media-Saturn Holding is just a short walk from Hotel am Campus. The Airbus site in neighbouring Manching can be reached by car within ten minutes.

With its convenient location, Hotel am Campus is also suitable for travellers who want to use Munich International Airport. The airport is on the north side of Munich and is much quicker to reach from Ingolstadt than central Munich – at just 70 kilometres away on the A9-A92. However, it’s not problematic for guests wishing to venture into Munich itself. The state capital of Bavaria with its Allianz Arena, exhibition centre, Olympia Hall and of course the Oktoberfest is only 90 kilometres away.

When you think of the home of motor giant Audi, you may be tempted to think of an industrial wasteland but despite the presence of Audi and many other large companies, visitors will be pleasantly surprised to find Ingolstadt is one of the greenest and prettiest cities in Germany. Hotel am Campus is ideally located for guests to enjoy this side of Ingolstadt. Just a stone's throw away is the recreational area at Auwaldsee lake, a green oasis in the middle of the commercial area. The lake is approximately one kilometre long and has beautiful walking trails, bathing sections as well as a boat rental and a mini golf course. Hotel guests can reach Auwaldsee on foot within just a few minutes.
